Pachakutik Faces a September Electoral and Registration Test

The Tribunal Contencioso Electoral (TCE) is scheduled to hold a single oral evidence hearing on Wednesday, September 3, 2026, in a case involving the Consejo Nacional Electoral (CNE) and Pachakutik.

The CNE alleges that financial reports or documents connected to the April 2024 referendum campaign were omitted. The possible penalties described in the case include fines of 20 to 70 unified basic salaries and suspension of political rights for up to four years.
