Ecuador's gasoline demand averaged 76,794 barrels per day in the first half of 2026, down from 78,964 barrels per day a year earlier. The decline was 3% overall and was led by an 8% reduction in Extra gasoline consumption.

Extra demand fell from 37,202 barrels per day to 34,131 barrels per day. Ecopaís demand decreased from 38,135 to 37,101 barrels per day, while Súper rose 53.4% but represented only 7% of the market.
